Berry season in Canada has gotta be the best! So grateful to live somewhere that berries are abundant (and pretty cheap! My South African family gets pineapples and avocados, but their fresh berries are $$$).
I froze a whole bunch of berries so that I could enjoy them throughout the cooler months. Will be eating this in January, I promise!
If you have never tried cauliflower (or zucchini) in smoothies, I encourage you to try! It's an easy way to get more veggies in ya, it doesn't affect the taste, and it makes for a lower in sugar treat :)
Berry Blast Smoothie Bowl
Serves 1-2 // Vegan, Paleo, Raw, Refined Sugar-Free & No Sugar Added, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Dairy Free
1 peeled, frozen banana (120g)
1 cup (220g) frozen mixed berries
1/2 cup (50g) steamed then frozen cauliflower florets (or just raw and then frozen)
1/2 cup (125ml) milk of choice
2 Tbs collagen (optional)
Shredded or flaked coconut
Using a blender or food processor, blend together all ingredients.
Serve into a bowl or jar and top with anything you want really! To make coconut cream/yogurt heart designs, drop dots of liquid onto the top and then drag a toothpick from the top down into a point.
