Introducing my first green smoothie bowl!
Craving all the freshness after long runs lately, so I made this smoothie bowl packed with fruits, veggies, some collagen for extra muscle and tissue repair post run (totally optional!), and matcha for an extra kick of antioxidants and caffeine.
If you’re new to matcha, or just aren’t a fan, adjust to taste or omit all together.
Matcha Mango Green Smoothie Bowl
Serves 1-2 // Vegan, Paleo, Raw, Refined Sugar-Free & No Sugar Added, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Dairy Free
2 peeled, frozen bananas (240g total)
1/2 cup (80g) cubed ripe frozen mango
1/2 cup (125ml) milk of choice (I used cashew milk)
1-2 tsp matcha, to taste (I like DoMatcha!)
1 cup packed frozen spinach (37g) (I froze my fresh spinach to thicken the smoothie even more!)
2 Tbs collagen (optional)
Shredded or flaked coconut
Coconut cream or yogurt
Using a blender or food processor, blend together all ingredients, starting with 1 tsp of matcha and then adjusting to taste.
Serve into a bowl or jar and top with anything you want really! To make a swirl in your smoothie use a toothpick!
