I love mint-chocolate anything, so this combination of mint green smoothie and chocolate granola is really perfect!

This can be made with frozen ingredients (cauliflower, banana and spinach - I still like using fresh pear) if you want more of a nice cream texture. You can also use fresh ingredients if you don’t want it to be cold! So you really can make this any time of year!

Highly recommend topping with extra cacao nibs (or chocolate chips if you want!).


Makes 1 serving // Vegan, Paleo, Refined Sugar-Free, Gluten Free, Dairy Free


Mint Green Smoothie:

  • 1 medium pear (155g)

  • 1 1/2 cups (115g) steamed than frozen or cooled cauliflower

  • 1 banana (95g), fresh or frozen

  • 1/2 cup (20g) packed spinach, fresh or frozen

  • 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) spirulina (I used Maju Superfoods Spirulina)

  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract (can omit if you don’t want it minty!)

  • 1/4 cup milk of choice (optional - may be necessary to blend if using frozen ingredients)

Grain-Free Chocolate Granola:

  • A couple scoops of the batch found here.

Pictured Optional Toppings:

  • Shredded coconut

  • Blueberries

  • Kiwi berries/normal kiwi

  • Cacao nibs


  1. Smoothie: Using a blender or food processor, blend together all ingredients. Add milk if not blending well.

  2. Putting the bowl together: Scoop or pour the smoothie into a bowl and top with a couple scoops of the granola and any other optional toppings you like! Enjoy!
