I’m an all year smoothie bowl kind of girl! You’ll find me enjoying smoothie bowls with seasonal ingredients throughout most of the cooler months! Even around Christmas time I enjoy a bowl of cacao nice cream with a little bit of peppermint extract!
I definitely crave them less than during the summer months, but I just go with the flow and give my body what it’s craving.
I chose to feature fresh pear in this smoothie bowl and it turned out so deliciously!
Spirulina is an excellent source of B-Vitamin’s, iron & copper (which both help to form red blood cells and build healthy bones!), and protein. This dietary supplement also has very powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties! Key point is that it is extremely nutrient-rich!
Pear & Spirulina Smoothie Bowl
Serves 1-2 // Vegan, Paleo, Raw, Refined Sugar-Free & No Sugar Added, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Dairy Free
1 small pear (125g)
1 1/2 cups (115g) steamed than frozen cauliflower (or just raw)
1 frozen banana (95g)
1/4 tsp (1.25ml) spirulina (I used Maju Superfoods Spirulina)
Using a blender or food processor, blend together all ingredients except spirulina until smooth. Scoop or pour out most of the mixture into your bowl, but leave a bit in the blender and add spirulina. Blend and then swirl into the rest of the mixture in your bowl.
Top with anything you want really! Pictured toppings are listed in the ingredients.
