Summer means I need all the delicious food that’s easy, nutritious, and keeps me feeling energized!
My basic steps on how to create a delicious summer sammie:
All the fresh ingredients
Loads of different textures
COLOUR (maybe this is just me!)
Buns with sprouted grains to keep that digestion happy (see below for a $1000 giveaway courtesy of Silver Hills Bakery!)
Edible flowers, because, HELLO
As you guys know, I love all things sprouting and have a full blog post on how to sprout nuts, grains, and seeds.
When grains begin to sprout, vital enzymes are released, breaking down starch stores and digestive inhibitors. This is why sprouted grains have lower glycemic index levels as well as increased soluble fibre and protein!
I’ve partnered with Silver Hills Bakery, a family-owned company who’s focus is on using sprouted grains to keep you energized throughout the day and not feeling sluggish (who wants sluggish in the summer?! Or ever?!) as well as a very simple list of ingredients.
They want to help people by making it easy to choose nutritious food and they’re doing this by hosting a Sprouted Summer Sweepstakes and a chance to win $1,000 to celebrate summer with good food and yummy eats! The giveaway is open to all of the United States and Canada (except Quebec)! Enter the giveaway through the link here.
