The Best Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl {Vegan}

Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl {Vegan, Gluten free, Paleo} - This plantbased, summery smoothie bowl is going to become my go-to every hot day this summer! Perfectly refreshing and super delicious!- Foody First - #smoothiebowl #vegan #plantbased #strawberries #raw #whole30 #paleo #glutenfree #nicecream

Strawberry and banana, what a classic combination! Make it a smoothie bowl, sneak some veggies in it, and BAM you’ve got my favourite treat to make all summer!

I love being inspired by seasonal fruit (or even edible flowers!) for my smoothie bowls, but my favourites will always be the ones that have berries in them. I’ve got a delish PB & J inspired smoothie bowl that uses raspberries and a matcha mango green smoothie bowl with golden berries, but I knew I needed to make one with strawberries!

Does anyone else have childhood memories picking strawberries at a you-pick farm? I would take that you-pick (and you-eat) very seriously and would go home with a belly full of strawberries and a pink bum from sitting on all the berries that people had discarded from their baskets. Nothing better!

Enough about pink bums more about this smoothie bowl yumminess!

Four simple ingredients: strawberries, banana, steamed cauliflower, milk of choice. You can read more about my love for steaming cauliflower in my lilac smoothie bowl post - basically… you can’t taste it, it increases the volume (yay for bottomless smoothie bowls!) and it means you’re sneaking some veggies into ya.

If you haven’t tried it, please do :)

A super simple smoothie bowl, but you can make it a little more extra by adding lots of toppings. Fresh basil is my favourite and it goes so well with strawberries!

Enjoy!

The Best Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl {Vegan}

Serves 2 // Vegan, Paleo, Raw, Refined Sugar-Free & No Sugar Added, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Whole30

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 bananas, peeled, and frozen (230g)

  • 1 cup (100g) steamed then frozen cauliflower

  • 1 heaping cup (156g) fresh or frozen strawberries

  • If using frozen strawberries: 1/2 cup (60ml) milk of choice - I used cashew milk

Optional toppings:

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Using a high powered blender, Magic Bullet, or food processor, blend together. If using fresh strawberries, add them first to the blender then the frozen ingredients so it’s easier to blend. I like to only add as much liquid to the blender or processor to get it going because I like them thick. If you want your nice cream runnier, just add more liquid! If you’re using fresh berries you might not even need any liquid.

  2. Serve into a bowl (I love using coconut bowls!) and top with all the toppings!

  3. Enjoy!
